On November 5th 2011 we held a 1940s day

More than 700 people visited a 1940s themed exhibition where there were tableaux featuring typical room settings. Members of the Society dressed in costumes of the period. There were full houses at three showings of the audio-visual presentation "Smiling Through", which had pictures and sound recordings of Rainhill people's war time memories. Refreshments and general socialising completed what turned out to be a very sucessful event.

Here are some pictures of the event.
